Storms don’t discriminate. Everyone faces storms in his or her lifetime, whether adults or children. Sometimes we may ask, “Why me?” Maybe the question we should be asking instead is how to navigate through the process of the storm we are going through. Don’t get lost in how big your storm appears to you but know that you can move forward while in the midst of the storm with the help of a professional therapist.

Sometimes we create our own storms when we are disobedient to God. God uses storms to help us spiritually mature. Just know that God never tries to hurt us but will have us to go through storms that will teach us that He is God and He is the one we should lean on for all things. Sometimes we may be in storms because we are led by unhealthy decision makers, and we have no control over the outcome that puts us in the midst of an unwanted damaging storm.

What kinds of storms have you gone through in your lifetime? Are you experiencing a storm right now (marital problems/divorce, grief/loss, etc.)?  Do you see a storm coming and don’t know how to navigate through it?  Is this storm something you had part in?

Know that help is available and waiting for you to reach out to a professional therapist.  Storms are not necessarily a negative thing. We can learn from them. Have you ever thanked or praised God for sending storms your way?
