Be aware that your individual healing process comes from what God has built in each of us.  Believe it or not, you already have the tools to explore your pain so you can begin the healing process.  It will be important for you to embrace all the emotions that come up.  Don’t allow fear to take away from your healing process.  God says, “For I, the Lord, am your Healer” (Exodus 15:16).

You Can Start the Healing Process In Your Life.

Healing starts with you wanting and accepting a change from the old to new.  The old often reflects choosing not to remember what you went through that was so painful.  It can and will make you numb to what you need for your healing.  The old needs to be remembered in order to allow for the healthy healing process to begin.

Know That Your Healing May Come With Pain.

When you accept the new change, it does not necessarily come without experiencing pain that is needed for your healing, but just know that God is there with you through the change.  God is unchanging as it said in Malachi 3:6 “I the Lord do not change.” How reassuring it is to know that God is there for you all the time.  While the doctor can help you heal by making adjustments to what ails you when they prescribe medication, set a bone, and perform surgery, remember the doctor is not the one that actually heals you.  The essence of healing starts internally between you and your divine Healer.   Internal change must take place first in order to recognize what is needed to construct a healthy healing environment.  Cultivating a deeper relationship with your Healer invites God in to accomplish His healing work in you.
