Grief     Mourning     Loss     Crisis     Trauma

Issues that we face in life do not always afford us the easier path to take. However, if you could pick one and alleviate the others, which one would you choose? Exactly! They all relate or share some amount of suffering and pain.

The suffering and pain may have generated from a place before your marriage to one another. Values brought in from your family history may clash with that of your spouse’s family.  Emotions become challenged.  Behaviors may manifest in unhealthy ways.  Therefore, your marital relationship struggles and may continue to struggle until you are ready to ask for help.

As a Christian Counselor, I am talking about spiritual and professional help, counseling that works together for God’s people.  Understand that every request that you send forth in faith will be answered. However, this does not come without cost.  Remember, Psalm 37:4 which tells us, “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” When we make Him our delight above all, we accept Him and submit to Him.

We wait on Him and He decides on how He wants to answer our requests and our prayers.  Just think about it, we do not have to choose the path; He chooses it for us when we allow His will to be done, not ours.
